Born July 31, 2021, Millie is a beautiful, affectionate, and easygoing Golden Retriever who embodies the qualities we value in a well-rounded family, working, and hunting companion. She comes from a working-line background with some old foundation show lines, giving her a wonderful balance of working heritage and classic Golden Retriever type. Millie has earned her BCAT, TKN, and VHMA titles and enjoys an active lifestyle filled with the things she loves most, especially playing fetch and swimming. In her younger days, she was also started as a duck hunting dog, giving her an opportunity to develop and showcase the natural retrieving instincts and working ability inherent in her lineage.
Millie has a correct, balanced build paired with a sweet, expressive face and, most importantly, the exceptional temperament to match. She is affectionate, gentle, and easygoing, with the kind of stable and loving personality that makes her a pleasure to live with and an excellent representative of the breed.
As a mother, Millie has already demonstrated her ability to produce well-rounded, trainable puppies with wonderful temperaments. Her puppies have inherited her sweet nature, affectionate personalities, and willingness to learn. The sires selected for her litters have complemented her beautifully, adding substance and broader bone, coat, and stronger head structure, creating offspring with a balanced combination of temperament, type, and structure.
Millie has OFA Good hips and OFA Normal elbows. She is also DNA tested through Optimal Selection and is clear of the tested genetic conditions with the exception of one copy of GR-PRA1, for which she is a carrier. This information is carefully considered in our breeding decisions to ensure appropriate pairings and responsible breeding practices.
Millie’s combination of working-line heritage, sound structure, beautiful Golden Retriever expression, exceptional temperament, proven retrieving instincts, and producing ability makes her a treasured part of our breeding program.
