Born July 23, 2023, Sloan is a beautiful balance of working and show-line Border Collie, combining the qualities we value most from both sides of the breed. She carries the sweet, loving nature and classic type of a show-line Border Collie, while also possessing the determination, strong will, and natural drive inherited from her working-line background.

 

Sloan is a true ranch dog and a loyal companion who is happiest when she has a job to do and her person by her side. She would gladly follow you all day long if given the opportunity, always ready to help and be part of whatever work is happening around the ranch. Her loyalty and devotion to her handler are some of her most endearing qualities.

 

She absolutely loves helping move and manage livestock and has experience working around a wide variety of animals, including goats, sheep, alpacas, cattle, and horses. Her willingness to work different types of stock, combined with her determination and strong working drive, showcases the versatility and adaptability we value in a Border Collie. She approaches ranch life with enthusiasm and purpose and truly enjoys having a job.

 

Sloan has documented health clearances, including OFA Good hips and OFA Normal elbows. She is DNA tested through Optimal Selection and is clear of the tested genetic conditions. Sloan carries Tri, dilute, and saddleback.

 

Sloan’s combination of show-line type and temperament with genuine working ability, determination, loyalty, and drive makes her a wonderful representation of the balance we strive for in our breeding program. She brings both the affectionate, people-oriented qualities we love and the strong work ethic and instinct that make the Border Collie such an exceptional working breed.
